Nawa Kabika popularly known as DJ LBC (7 July 1981 - 30 November 2015) was a Zambian born Radio and International Club DJ and was the host of Lusaka’s QFM Power Breakfast Show,〔(DJ LBC - Power Breakfast Show )〕 every weekday with over 1 million listeners nationwide.
Born into a family of four, Nawa Kabika grew up in Lusaka city where he attended primary and high school. His affinity for music became evident at the age of seven. In a house hold dominated by sisters, he found himself spending a lot of time listening to radio more than he participated in activities boys at his age should have been. By the time he was in 7th grade he had amassed a decent collection of cassettes which gained him quite a reputation among his peers in the neighborhood.
== Career ==

In 2000, a year after completing high school, he acquired a certificate in video production after which he went for another certificate in public relations. It was during this time that he joined the radio 4 fan club where he learned the basics of broadcasting before his first gig at Radio Phoenix〔(Radio Phoenix - Weekend Grave Yard )〕 as a weekend grave yard slot host.
Nine months later, he had created a massive buzz in the city but got fired from the station for playing music that was outside of the station policy. Two days later, he was offered the late night show on the then very new (QFM ) which he hosted for two months after which he was moved to the morning show, a show that would change the sound of morning radio in Zambia forever.
In March 2004, he won an award for the best show. The prize included a media tour trip to London where he spent a month familiarizing himself with The BBC, Choice FM, Kiss 100, and Capital FM among others.
In 2006, he had a stint at Hot FM〔(Hot FM Zambia - Weekend Breakfast Presenter )〕 as a weekend breakfast Show presenter after which he returned to London〔(Lenganji, Sikapizye. "Lost but found: popular radio DJ in London for studies" The Post Newspaper, Lusaka, 24 October 2010. Retrieved on 27 January 2012 ).〕 but his time to pursue a post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM) at The (London School of Marketing ).〔(London School of Marketing )〕 After a 5 year hiatus, he returned home on QFM to claim his throne as the King of morning radio.
DJ LBC also built a reputation as a DJ, hosting major events such as "The Sprite DJ Mixing competition" which featured international artists including Gidi Gigi Maji Maji and Skwata camp, an event he hosted for 3 consecutive years. In 2005, He also hosted the Fanta Mega Music Party which headlined South Africa's Mafikizolo, Pitch Black afro, and Mzekezeke
It was during his time as a student of marketing in London working as a producer for an East London based "Voice of Africa Radio".
